To our dedicated fan base - I am shocked you still visit the site. So as you can see, we haven't posted since September 2010. What's going on?

Frito is now an actor. He has been in a play, short film, web series and will be doing a movie with Goldberg! Ladies and gentlemen, Frito is doing it big while still holding down his day job (still hates it). Steve, on the other hand, has found himself having something in common with 9% of all Americans. Good times.

Three things to expect from us in the coming months?
1) A new website. We are converting to a Wordpress site.
2) More content (videos, social commentaries, life lessons, tips & cheat codes on life)
3) Maintain those low expectations for us!

Television Series: Basketball Wives

YEP! I'm drinking the basketball wives kool-aid. Yea, yea I know that most of them were never married to basketball players, just a bunch of NBA baby mama's and ex's bashing their former boy toys, but whatever their facebook relationship status may read (dating, fiance', ex-boo, or complicated) with these guys, it doesn't matter because I am getting front row seats in the fab life of NBA groupism.

The NBA, IT'S FANTASTIC!

Here are my thoughts so far. This is a world that we constantly hear about but nothing has ever put it out on the forefront for the world to see. I mean there was a couple of attempts (i.e. Superhead, Kobe during the Colorado trials, etc) but none like this. Even if these chicks aren't with these guys anymore they were still once apart of that world where athlete fantasy tales run amuck. They are the characters that we hear about through gossip pipelines, the women who would have been notches under Wilt Chamberlain's belt, or who knows they may have been, and because they give us in to knowing more about our 'Heroes, we drink it up.

Now here is a breakdown of the characters that make up this chick-a-pa-looza called "Basketball Wives". Disclaimer: Do realize I am going off of how VH1 has decided to portray these woman and these may not actually be who they are, so in real life they may be one of the coolest, most awesomest (if that is a word) women in the world. Nonetheless, I wouldn't know because all I have to go off is what VH1 feeds me.

Shaunie O'Neal - Shaquille O'Neal's Ex-Wife

This is Shaq's ex-wife and the ring leader of this whole shebang. She plays this beautifully. Not only is she the executive producer of the show but she is rarely in it; basically letting all of the other women get their hands dirty while she collects the bigger portion of the checks.

Gloria - Matt Barnes Fiance'

This is the one I had high hopes for because in the beginning her point for doing the show was to show that not all of the NBA guys are cheating dogs and that there are some good ones out there. Fair enough. Now I don't know much about the NBA world, just what I hear from rumors, but her quest to change public perception has a long way to go. Honestly, the more of the show I am watching the less of saint she is becoming in my eyes. She is going to the extreme, coming across with a holier than thou attitude where she can come off judgmental and two faced.

Jennifer - Eric Williams Wife

I know, I know. Who is Eric Williams. Well he was drafted by Boston #14 in the first round of the 1995 draft, averaging 8.6 points a game, and made around $39 million in his 12 year NBA career. Now enough about him, basically what you need to know is that his wife has some money to spend. Out of all the chicks on the show she seems to be the one going through the most inner turmoil and yet she is the only one married. She is wavering back and forth whether she should still be married. Nonetheless, her character always walks around in a way that seems that she always has her nose up in the air, which gives off a "I am better than you" attitude.

Suzie - Michael Olowokandi's Ex-Girlfriend

Now she is the enforcer of the group; The Charles Oakley of the Basketball Wives. She is the one that stands about six foot four in heels and has no problem using all of that height to gain leverage so that she can slice any groupie that gets in her way. Also, probably the one that truly misses her former position as being in a relationship with an athlete. She enjoyed it for what it was. She knew because of it she had a key to the fabulous life. She drove fast cars, ate and shopped at the finest of places, traveled abroad to places she never been before, but now knows that ship has sailed and is wondering can she go back to regular Joe blows that are six inches shorter than her.

Royce - Dwight Howard's Baby Mama

We really don't know if she and Dwight ever had a relationship. All we know is that Dwight planted on fertile ground and now has a harvest that he would not consider sending over to starving children in Africa. This is the sense I am getting from reading other items on the web, but honestly she is one of my favorite characters on the show so far. She seems to be the most down to earth...a girl that I would love to kick it with, but who knows, the editing on the show may be hiding a lot of things because of the deformation suit that Dwight is alleged to have against her.

Evelyn - Antoine Walker's Ex-Fiance'

Now it's hard fr me to place my finger on her. Part of me feels like she is the one that the other women naturally follow...when Shaunie is not around of course. Think of it like this, Shaunie is the Kingpin of a drug operation that the police have little to no information on because of the wall that the crime organization has built up to protect its greatest asset, next to the drugs of course. Evelyn is the one that the FBI knows is some high ranking lieutenant, has ton of photos with her communicating with other high profiled suspects, but ultimately knows she doesn't run the whole show. Other than faux chiefdom she also loathes that she was a part of the NBA life even though her business is benefiting greatly from it.

So there you have it, my analysis on the different woman who have appeared on Basketball Wives. I'll chime in throughout the weeks as I see more episodes.

Television Series: Jericho

A couple of weeks ago my roommate told me about the now defunct CBS TV series called "Jericho". He claimed that this was one of the greatest shows that he's ever watched. Now people make exuberant claims about things all the time so needless to say I wasn't buying the hype, but-since he recommended it I decided to check it out.

Since then I have gone through most of the first season and OH MY GOSH!, this show is great. It is amazing; hands down one of the greatest TV shows to don the earth. Never have I had a show evict so much emotion from me. Now the whole premise has to deal with America being under nuclear attack and the fallout. Not only does it beautifully tackle the whole issue of what would happen if the states were to be attacked by nukes but it also wonderfully portrays the human emotions of dealing with the catastrophe. Episode 16 of the first season is called "Winter's End" and has jumped into one of the most memorable TV episodes in my life. Never have I had a TV episode, let alone a show, cause me to stop and reflect so much about life; definitely a tear-jerker.

The show only lasted for two seasons and as my roommate told they had to end it-just because there was nowhere else it could have gone. Even though I know my ride on the Jericho train will soon be ending, the episodes that I have viewed so far have been so great that I had to write about it. So if you can check it out, whether through amazon or some rinky-dink used DVD shop, you won't be disappointed.

Mental Health Day

Usually when I take PTO it's usually to go out of town somewhere. Whether it's a graduation, a wedding, visiting family, whatever it is I'm not standing still. Then after I come back I feel all stressed out because I spent so much time out of town moving around covering as much ground as possible trying to see as many people and places all in a 2-3 day span and now I now I have to go back to a daunting work week that lies there waiting to devour me with twice as much work.

I took PTO this past Friday but due to a couple of planned trips being cancelled at the last moment I had no where to go but stay home and boy let me tell you...it felt great. One of the most relaxing moments of my life. I felt free. For this one day during the work week I could do whatever I wanted. I could sleep in late, take a walk in the park, workout, have a dvd marathon, catch on you tube clips, whatever...it really felt like the world was my oyster. Let me put it to you this way it's like being locked up for 5 years in the penitentiary but then for one day you get to hang out in the real world and do as your heart desires, legally of course.

When my fangs tasted this new blood call a "Mental Health Day" as donned by one of my friend's mom, it left me wanting more. I no more wanted to be told when to clock in or when to work on some project that I could careless about. It left me wanting to do me. It left me with a sense of urgency to reeaaallly find myself. I need to reeaaally figure out what I love to do and in turn somehow flip that to start my own business because I reeaaally need to be free.

The Pooping Fields

Since I have been starting this diet of cutting out the processed sugar, and eating more fruits and vegetables my energy levels have gone up. What has also gone up is the number of times I have to go to the bathroom….both to pee and to poop. I ALWAYS go at least once a day, sometimes twice a day, but then there have been a couple of times where I have gone three times in one day. Let me tell you I am happy about this, because if I keep this up this means less prostate exams when I am 45 and that is always a good thing.

Usually my first poop happens around 8:45am after I have my bowl of oatmeal and my banana, but one day at 8:45 the maiden voyage to the land of toilets was almost foiled. In the office building for the company that I work for they have leased out 4 floors…the first, the second, the sixth, and the tenth. On each floor there is one restroom for the men fit with two urinals and two stalls. I went to the one on the second floor to conquer my throne and what do I find? Both stalls are occupied. That’s ok because this has happened before; either both stalls are occupied or the cleaning lady has the “DO NOT ENTER” sign so that she can complete her task. Anytime this happens I go to my back up plan; I go to the sixth floor but this time what do I find again-BOTH stalls have people in them. Now I am like OH SHOOT!!! This has never happened before. I go to two bathrooms and both stalls have people in them.

So now I am at plan C. I got the tenth and lo and behold it’s the freaking cleaning lady with her stinking “DO NOT ENTER” sign whistling Dixie as she cleans away. Now I am furious…I am mad…one because the cleaning lady is not from this country so what in the world does she know about Dixie but on top of that I am also panicking. I’ve got a turd that’s ready to sink like the titanic but no artic ocean to lay ground in.

After the mental tirade I gathered myself together and went to the last resort…the FIRST FLOOR…You may ask Frito what’s wrong with the first floor. Well to be honest with you a couple of things:

1. Its on the first floor so where the lunch room is and where visitors have opened access to, so more people are using it, which means it tends to be the least clean out of all of the bathrooms, and the one more susceptible to more germs.
2. Familiarity. The bathroom on the first floor is not built the same way like the other bathrooms. You know when you go poop you’re in a vulnerable state and you don’t want any surprises…you want to go where everybody knows your name. You have your routine so that you can remain calm for this very tense situation.

Anyway I was off to the first floor restroom and you know what…I pooped, the titanic sank, the browns went to the super bowl, I conquered my throne, the pooping fields were fertilized, but you know what I didn’t like it because it took me outside of my routine.

We are continuing my top ten lists for my favorite sneakers of all time. Next on the list is the first of Nike’s storied Air Max family line, the Nike Air Max 1. When this shoe was released in 1988 it broke many barriers. First it answered the cry for long distance runners needing support while running; it was the first sneaker to expose the air sole in a shoe, and transcended fashion in the running world as it was the first of its kind to break away from mundane colors with its fiery red.

I was personally not exposed to this shoe until college about 2002. Mine had a black and gray color way mix with a calmer red accenting part of the sole and the shoe lace hole. Since then I have made two other Air Max 1 purchases, one with the original red color.

Gazing into the Eyes of Cuba

For the past two weeks I've been working hard. REAL HARD…ok maybe not really. I was working hard for like three weeks but now we've hit a lull at work and now there's seems to be ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO. So that's got me staring at my globe and since I haven't been spinning it as of late, its been in looking at one place...the great island of CUBA.

It's funny because since I am from Miami, I know about Cubans. Miami has a different dynamic then anywhere across the United States. Cubans run the Miami streets as depicted in Scarface…ok maybe not like Scarface but you get the idea. They are about 57% of the population down there and have been elected into a majority of the high ranking offices. Nonetheless these are Cubans in Miami, but not pure unadulterated CUBANS, who still believe in the revolution.

I started to do my research on Cuba to see what it would be like to take a trip down there. I logged onto Travelocity to see how much the ticket would cost from here to Atlanta, and guess what? You get a page that says,

"Due to a U.S. government travel restriction we are unable to book this reservation."

Guess what folks, you can't fly directly into Cuba from the United States. It seems that there is this big beef that the U.S. has with them, something to do with a U.S. embargo and Communism I think. Anyway, I decided that I would travel from Nassau, Bahamas. Flying from Mexico seems a bit risky with this whole drug war thing going on down there. Who knows I may have to stop off in Juarez and have the possibly of being shot. Basically my point is you have to fly into another country that doesn't have beef with Cuba to fly in there. The total cost of total air travel is like $500. Not too bad. Now if you have been blessed to have a powerful enough boat, you can take to the seas but there are some major restrictions that one has to follow to do so.

So after I get there I imagine the first thing I would do there is eat. I mean come on now, I'll be in a Latin country; there's gotta be a roasted pig that's has been buried for like 6 days that I can chow on. Also, YOU KNOW, I have to have some rice and beans. But then what, I imagine that if I do the touristy thing it'd be like any island country. I can relax on some cool looking beaches, but if you've seen one beach you've seen them all. If I want to do something adventurous I guess I can go jet skiing or parasailing, but again something that can also be done off the coast of Nassau, why spend the extra time and money going to another country to do the exact same thing.

When I go to another country I want to go and mingle with the peoples, get to know how they live, see what it is like to be Cuban not the Americanized version of being Cuban. Hmmm, I'm wondering if Fidel would be available to show me around. Well now that I am thinking about he has been sick as of late and could be in bed rest so maybe his brother Raul may give me the tour. One can only wish. Anyway, I think I have been lolly-gagging enough, time to go to another time wasting event. So I'll see you next time on Frito's Cubicle Journey.

Frito's Cubicle Journey

Frito's Cubicle Journey is an ongoing adventure of the life of an office worker whose heart is trapped inside of a cold blooded place called Corporate America.

For the third time in 6 months they have moved me into another cubicle. At this moment in time I don't even unpack anymore because from the likes of things I'll be moving again, whether it is to a different floor or different building. Heck who knows they may put me in the company's foreign exchange program and move me to a different country. But that's neither here nor there because the most important thing is that I've moved to another team that doesn't have a heltah skeltah workload that keeps me up at night. With this new team things are like clockwork, so much so that I am detailing a schedule on how my day goes:

7:30am My cell phone alarm goes off. I hit snooze button.
7:40am I set a 10 break in between the next alarm and it has gone off again so I hit the snooze button again.
7:50am My alarm goes off for the thrid time so I finally get up a let loose the urine that I was holding since four in the morning because I didn't want to get up and ruin the sleep I so deperately wanted.
7:53am After an outrageously long piss I brush my teeth and watch my face.
7:57am I dress my self, grab my lunch that was made the night before (we'll get to that some other time) and then head out.
8:05am I get into to my car and before I leave my apartment complex I always see these two long haired white guys who look like they can be stand-ins for the two Columbine killers. Note to self, always be nice to these guys.
8:08pm I go down a street called Bently Rd and get stopped by the same bus stop picking up what looks to be some middle school kids. Man I can't wait for summer.
8:10pm I then make a right onto Terrill Mill where I see the same teenage girl every morning. Sometimes she has other kids with her standing about five feet away and sometimes they are not there. Thought runs through my mind, " That girl must be really smart and is probably going to do great things in life, while the ones that stand five feet away from her and come on a limited occasion are probably filling out their appilcations for McDonalds." or they probably get their mom and dad to drop them off.
8:17am I park in the same spot of the covered garage away from all of the other folks who are jockeying for parking space up front. This is a great spot because it allows Buddy, my car, or Bud for short to get some sun while still not being effected by the elements.
8:19am I get to my desk, setup my laptop and have breakfast, instant oatmeal and a banana.
8:22am I walk to the coffee station to get hot water for my oatmeal hoping none of my co-workers want to have extended chit-chat. Just give me a simple hello, hi ya doin, and I'm good to go. The quicker I can start working the quicker I can get out of this place.
8:30am I'm done with breakfast and start working.
8:45am Depending how well the fiber of the oatmeal worked through my intestines, I maybe taking a dump at this time.
9:00am Corporate america decides to ruin my flow and ebb it with a meeting.
Note: Most of our meetings our over the phone but I'm still shocked how some people still don't pay attention in a professional setting. I can't tell you how many times I've heard this interaction:
Jim: How are those TPS reports Bob.
Bob: Oh sorry Jim I wasn't paying attention because I had better things to do on my computer screen.
I blame coporate america for making us think we have to always be multi-tasking and getting multiple projects done in short deadlines.
10:00am Snack time (banana number two or some almonds).
10:02am - 11:59am Work some more but during this time I have gone to the bathroom about 2-3 times. I don't know what to tell you I have a "weak" bladder.
10:30am This is my first time in the day that I check my personal email. I have a personal rule that I do not check personal email until this time. I've been doing this for about three years right now and I have to check email at least once a day just to let me know that I am still alive.
12:00pm I heat up my lunch that my fabulous most awesomest girlfriend packed for me and eat my desk. Since March 1 I've been kicking all process suger from my diet and been trying to eat healthy. So this time it was baked tilapia, broccoli, and corn. I eat half and save the rest for later.
12:10pm So my company came up with this awesome idea that all employees in the company worldwide can have access to each other through our in house instant messanging system. So if you are a hard worker who already has enough work they are going to inundate you with folks from India asking you more questions about a process you went over 3 months ago.
1:00pm Meeting two has begun and I'M FLAT FIRED UP FOR IT!!!! Corporate America, it's FANTASTIC!!!
1:50pm I finish off the leftover lunch right before training.
2:00pm I'm training another co-worker on something or as the company would call it, "coaching". I love how employers try to bring sports into the workplace. It's great.
3:00pm Work is starting to wane on me so I scoff down the pineapples that I packed to boost my sucrose levels. I'm telling you since starting this no processed sugar diet I've been feining for some honey buns, ho-ho's, and yoo-hoos.
3:30pm Okay I'm still working but I'm I'm starting to day dream about 5pm. This is when the clock moves a bit slower. This is the time I wish corporate america had a meeting planned for me but they don't. I tell ya when you really need them they are just not here for you.
3:45pm Depending how depressed I'll walk up and down two floors to wake me up or I'll spin my globe to see where in the world I could except for where I am right now.
Let me tell you you if you work in an office, get a globe. You'll be surprised how freeing it can make one feel in such a depressing place as the office.
4:55pm It's shutting down time. This is the time that I am closing down evey email, every word doc, every excel file, and every other application that is open except for one thing jsut so that I can work on it.
5:00pm I'm shutting down my computer.
5:03pm I'm saying goodbye to my direct boss.
5:05pm I'm getting on the elevator also while decimating one of the apples that I brought in.
5:07pm Bud and I are leaving the parking lot and getting on the road.
5:35pm Bud and I arrive back home. For a place that normally takes us 10-12 minutes to get to. It takes us 28 minutes to get home because of traffice but it was all worth it.

All right guys I've been wanting to do this for a long time and have finally decided to make it happen. Over the next ten weeks I will be releasing my list of my top ten sneakers of all time. This is in no particular order just sneakers that I have thoroughly enjoyed throughout the years. Some I have worn and some I have just admired from afar.

This week is the red white and blue Adidas Top Ten Hi. These beauties originally came out in 1984. I first discovered these in 2006, got it on clearance at Champs for $30, but because of the vintage boom the price has gone up to about $74.99. I still have the same pair since 2006 and will wear them till the soles get holes in them. They are comfy and can be worn with anything. A buddy of mine, who is also a tennis shoe buff, shares the same sentiments. He had a pair himself, they ripped and he offer to purchase mine off of me, after three years of pounding the pavement. Frito educated us about how much college cost. Thus, the moral of the story is get someone else to pay for your college. One word: Scholarships.

Finding scholarships can be time-consuming and nerve-wracking, but ultimately rewarding — if you do your homework. Along the way, many myths and misconceptions can lead you in the wrong direction.

Becoming familiar with some of the most common scholarship-seeking myths can help you save time, reduce frustration, and focus your scholarship search.

Myth #1: Only athletes win big scholarships.

You don’t have to be a basketball or football star to win a super scholarship. Being an athlete is just one way to garner a scholarship. Other factors (such as GPA, community service, and financial need) play a significant role as well. Finding a scholarship has as much to do with hard work and perseverance as anything else. You do have to do the research and fill out the forms, but you don't have to hit home runs.

Myth #2: My grades are too low for me to win a scholarship.

Grades are important, but don't worry if you’re not a straight-A student. Grades aren’t the only criteria for awarding scholarships. Although your grade point average (GPA) will be taken into account, many scholarships use it mainly as a preliminary cut-off point. For example, many scholarships require a minimum GPA of 2.5.

Organizations look for talented students with a range of interests, such as writing, involvement in community service, and membership in local organizations.

For example, the Target All-Around Scholarship Program requires a 2.0 GPA and looks for applicants who are involved in community service. The Dr. Harry Britenstool Scholarship Fund is geared toward Boy Scout members. The annual Signet Classic Scholarship Essay Contest is based almost solely on the applicant’s English essay.

Although most engineering and science scholarships require at least a 3.0 GPA, there are quite a few exceptions to this rule. The Richard E. Merwin Scholarship in electrical engineering and computer science, for example, is available to members of the
Computer Society Student Branch Chapter and requires a 2.5 GPA.

Myth #3: Since I have a high GPA, scholarships will come to me.

Just because your grades are high doesn't mean financial help will automatically fall into your lap. You should still consider and pursue a variety of financial aid options, including tuition tax credits, state and federal programs, loans, and grants.

Myth #4: My family income is too high for me to qualify for a scholarship.

Most private sources don't require financial need information. State and federal scholarship restrictions, which do require financial need statements, do not apply in the private sector.

Myth #5: Billions of scholarship dollars go unclaimed each year.

According to financial aid specialists, the number of unused scholarships is very low. This myth stems from two factors. First of all, most supposedly unused scholarships are corporate benefits that go to employees or their children and are included in the totals of unclaimed scholarships.

Secondly, online scholarship search engines that charge $24 to $200 propagate the myth, hoping that students will use their services to find some of those billions of "unused" dollars.

There is an abundance of scholarship resources available for free on the Internet and at the library. A free Science and Engineering Scholarship search is available through the Scholarship Resource Network on the ScienceWise.com Web site.

Myth #6: Scholarship competitions are always objective.

Like most contests, scholarship competitions are often subjective. Each scholarship is understandably biased. It's not that scholarship panels are unfair, it’s just that they have specific qualifications for their candidates. Take a close look at each scholarship description to make sure that it matches your particular interests and strengths.

Myth #7: The more extracurricular activities I participate in, the better my chances are.

Quality, not quantity, is important when it comes to extracurricular activities. It is more advantageous to participate in one or two relevant activities than to acquire a long list that demonstrates little dedication to any one activity. Sticking to a couple of activities indicates that you are focused and passionate about your interests.

Myth #8: I should spend my time and energy on only one or two scholarship applications.

Don't focus all your energy and time on one or two scholarships. Although there are a lot of factors within your control, there are many factors beyond it. The more scholarships you apply for, the better your odds are of winning one. That’s not to say that you should apply for hundreds of scholarships while sacrificing efficiency. Remember to be thorough when searching and applying for scholarships to find the correct ones to fit your needs.

Myth #9: University, corporate, and government scholarships are the only ones worth pursuing.

Avoid confining your search to universities and large corporations; there are plenty of private local scholarships out there as well. Civic, religious, and community organizations such as Elks clubs, Rotary clubs, the American Legion, and local churches are excellent sources. University Web sites often highlight local scholarships.

Myth #10: I'm too old to apply for a scholarship.

More than half of all students in the United States are over 25 years old. People are changing jobs in the middle of their careers and going back to school to finish undergraduate studies or earn graduate degrees. Some students leave school for the work world before graduating and decide to return a couple of years later.

There are a lot of scholarships available for students over 25 years old. Programs such as the Jeannettte Rankin Foundation offer scholarships for women 35 years or older. Many other colleges offer scholarships for senior citizens.

Final Word

Scholarships have a variety of requirements and come from a variety of organizations. Your grades, interests, and financial status are important factors in securing a scholarship, but you don't have to be a superstar to find them.

Don't forget to research and apply for federal, state, and college assistance programs. Look for the college that best suits your academic and financial needs. Then, do your scholarship homework and apply for the ones that match your interests, strengths, and needs.

After reviewing the episode with Georgia Tech student Joe Fynface it got me remembering that school is not cheap, so if you want to blow your money, go to school. Here are some pricetags based on an undergraduate four year degree with no summer school:

If you want to stay local, have a killer sports team (whether it be football or basketball), and stay on the cheaper side of things go to a state school.

The University of Florida, North Carolina State, Georgia Tech are all going to run you between $68,000 - $72,000.

Now if you say that you are more of an artist then:

the Miami International University of Art and Design, Pratt Institute, Berkeley School of Music, or the Cleveland School of Art are all going to run you a little over $100,000.

Now if you come from a legacy of proud balck parents and want to carry on the tradition of going to a historically black college or university then:

If you think that you belong to the "creme de la creme" and want to try your hand at some Ivy League Schools then Harvard, Princeton, and Yale are going to cost you about $200,000.

Frito's Cubicle Journey is an ongoing adventure of the life of an office worker whose heart is trapped inside of a cold blooded place called Corporate America.

I cleaned out my car over the weekend and realized that I left my globe in the trunk of my car. I could not believe this. No wonder I was feeling so depressed at work. Again this is important, because sometimes when you are inside of a cubicle you can feel like tuna packed tightly inside that thin cylinder can. For that time inside that can you are not allowed to move unless someone buys the can and then you have to wait til they open it, which can be for months depending on how long they decide to store it. Not a good feeling. You feel trapped.

But you see the globe gives me some sense of hope. It reminds me that there is something more out there for me to do and see. Today it left me daydreaming. Daydreaming enough to wonder where would the lady friend and I go if we had the chance. I text her to see what was one of the five places that she would want to go if money was no object. She sent me her responses and she in turn ask me for mine. I obliged and sent her mine. We connected. We bonded and it all started with me looking at some inanimate spherical object.

I write this to say that I haven't given up hope yet. Right now, I'm trapped inside that tiny thin cylinder can, and I probably won't be open for another 10 months until someone says, "Hey we have nothing to eat. Let's eat that can of tuna left in the cupboard." But mark my words when I am let out I'm going to be part of the best tuna fish sandwich this world has ever seen packed full of protein.

Frito: When I was a young boy the Florida Panthers made the Stanley Cup Finals vs the Colorado Avalanche. It was called the "Year of the Rat". After every goal they would the home crowd would throw plastic rats onto the ice. It was awesome. Then they got swept cause there was a stud goalie named Patrick Roy who was like a chastity belt. I'm hoping to relive those childhood memories regardless of them not going all the way.

People are nice, homes are good looking, and not that much traffic. Number 3 place for me to live.

Now I picked up these bad boys at the Nike Factory store in Charlotte, North Carolina. This is the Nike DayBreak, which debuted in 1977 for distance runners. Nike brought these bad boys back out around 2008 trying to push their vintage line to consumers. Personally I don't think it caught on like they would have liked but since I'm a Nike head I had to scoop them up. These can go real nice with a pair of bootcut jeans and a nice fitted tee...you know real 70's style.

Frito's Cubicle Journey is an ongoing adventure of the life of an office worker whose heart is trapped inside of a cold blooded place called Corporate America.

MULTIPLE STREAMS OF INCOME! MULTIPLE STREAMS OF INCOME! These are the words that rang through my head as I sat in front of my computer typing away. I mean, isn't that a way to live, not dependent on one entity to shell you the dough, but actually a numerous amounts of entities giving the mu-lah so that if one dries up you can go to another. So here are some the things I thought that I could do to add to my income to my 9 to 5.

1. Become an NFL Player
Since I knew I had no college experience I joined a semi-pro football league to gain that experience and then tryout at a combine of some sort and hope so that some NFL team would say, "Wow, who's that, he's great!" Come to find out anyone can join a semi-pro team...if the old guy at Walmart that greets you at the door decided to join a semi-pro team, he could. Needless to say this didn't work out.

2. Become a Professional Bowler
I thought this had to be one of the coolest things ever. Practice hitting strikes at the alley for about 4 hours a day, win some tournaments, get sponsored by Brunswick and call it a day. After about two games, one hamburger, fries, and an average score of 75 I realize that I needed to forge another stream somewhere else.

3. Modeling
Listen I thought the easiest way to add some money to my current income was to get paid for standing there to look good while the camera clicks away. Seems easy enough, huh? Well listen to what I eat everyday:

a. Oatmeal
b. Two sides of vegetables, rice, and some type of meat.

sounds good, right? Here are my snacks everyday:

c. a bag of chips, 2 baked cookies, a pack of Lorna Doones, a Kit-Kat, cherry coke, and some Lance crackers with peanut butter. Dinner composed of a trip to some type of fast food joint. Not really the diet of someone with rock hard abs.

The bottom line is that I am still relying on one gig to pay the bills and to live some type of dream in life...I'm going to continue typing away right now.

This weekend Steve and I will be volunteering at a bereavement camp called Camp Stars put on by Hospice of Atlanta. The camp helps families to deal with the loss of a family member. Counselors from all over Atlanta volunteer their time to help these individuals to cope with their lost. This is our second year doing this and who knows how many more we will do in the future.

After a couple of days of realizing that my dream of road tripping the great U.S. of A. won't be coming anytime soon. I went to my favorite secretary in the building to cheer me up, Bella Laboski. She's my favorite because because after the first polite introductions to me we got into regular conversation and she just started cussing. The phone rang, it was one of her girlfriends telling her about her new found boy toy, and she started cussing at her. Now realize at this point this is my first professional job out of college so I'm playing and expecting the super conservative role, This type of behavior is just blowing my mind.

Now let me tell you about Bella. Bella is an older black woman probably in her late 60's maybe in 70's. She has two adult children, one like 38 and the other like 35, with grand kids. So Bella is at the point that we all like to be in, done seen it all, been through it all, and old enough where she can say whatever she wants. First day I met her she was telling me how she has 5 more years and can't wait to get the half of her ex-husband's retirement money that her Jewish lawyer won for her in the settlement.

With that in my mind I knew I needed to go to Bella because she was going to inform me of some type of office gossip of someone who has it worse than me and can get me out of the mindset of me not meeting my own dreams. God Bless Admins.

He's open me to such authors as Malcolm Gladwell and Chuck Klosterman and their books which I have read or beginning to (Outliers, The Tipping Point, Blink, Eating the Dinosaur). Atlanta has a lot of tacos/cubanish/Mexicanish food places. So why go here? Because it's convenient (to me). Nah but the food is good here - I get me a Grilled Chicken taco, a side order of plaintains and split some queso with the table and call it a day. They now have expanded their menu to include quesadillas. You can get out of here easily for $15 for two. Not bad for a place located in Brookhaven.

Money management in the household can be complicated. Money is actually the number 1 reason why folks get a divorce.

With that said, each individual will never agree on what is spent and how much is spent on this item or that. All you can do is communicate about purchases outside of the necessities in life (gas for the car, bills, and food).

It is also very important that both parties are informed on their spending habits. Once you start to see actual numbers - you won't get convicted. Try to keep an excel spreadsheet of everything you pay for. At the end of the month, you can merge the document together.

Responsibility never occurs unless there is some kind of involvement.

When I was in Lansing, Michigan visiting a buddy this past November, across the street from MSU's campus was one of the coolest clothing stores I've ever been in. First of all the salesperson was a white dude with dreads so already the fascination grew. Then they had a great clearance sale with some of the most known urban labels known to mankind. I mean they were selling fitted caps, greedy genius, and some of the most unique items that any sneaker head would love to explore every crevice of the store just cause they know that they would come out with a gem. I really did not understand what it was doing in this college Midwest town, but then I saw the weed paraphernalia and understood why. I didn't make a weed item purchase but needless to amongst the haze something did catch my eye. I saw a pair of emerald, red, and neon yellow Creative Recreations. This is called the Cesario Lo. They didn't have my size as they were for women but I had to get them for someone, so I get them for my sister Denise. Hope you love them sis.

Rule #1 - Don't buy Cocaine. It's expensive and very illegal.

How much can you save by not participating in this activity?

First offense: Up to 7 years imprisonment and up to $50,000 in fines.

Unfortunately, you can't really save money in prison and let's not forget about the court fees as well as the lawyer fees that you also owe. By the way, getting a job after being charged for a DUID isn't easy either. That's why there are stats for 2nd and 3rd time offenders.

So I was thinking of ways that someone could "blow" their money on, and the first thing that popped in my mind mine was "a key of coke" or 1 kilogram of cocaine for our non-slang readers out there. Now I don't advise this but let's just say you were in the market to purchase some "snowball" well on the justice.gov** website it says that depending on the purity of the cocaine you can get a kilogram ranging from $12,000 - $35,000. So if you have an inkling for the nose candy for $1 million dollars for some pure unadulterated coke you can get about 29 kilo's of coke. Now I warn you to be careful cause with that much coke on you, the feds will definitely be intercepting your cell phone calls. Until next time spend wisely.

So because I am transitioning to a new team of course soul sucking corporate america wants me to train others to do the work that I was doing on the old team. In one day I trained a teammate from the Philippines, trained another virtual co-worker in India, and then trained this this six foot three white dude that's about 240 pounds, and has a size 14 shoe. Now this dude is huge. I've nicknamed as big country.

Needless to say at the end of this gauntlet of training I was tired and when I finally was able to take a break I started to think about one of dreams with the lady friend of going on a car drive cross country. Now it's a dream because of how I would like to do it. You see I wouldn't have a time schedule or be rushed. We would just spend as much time as we would feel like in each city. Maybe two weeks max depending on how I or the lady friend felt. We would prefer that we have friends in those respective cities that we visit so that we can stay with. I like this route cause it just creates a more home like feeling, we get a free tour guide, and we get to the know the city more intimately because we are not as tourist like as we would be if we were by ourselves.

We start of in Key West and along the way make our necessary stops in Florida (Miami, Port St. Lucie, Gainesville). Then once outside of Florida stop in Atlanta and then make our way west toward California. After that we head north to Canada and pretty much go across back and forth the east and west coast until we get to the east coast and stop off in Hilton Head, South Carolina. If the car goes ka-poots, and is beyond repair, no worries, we'll just buy another one. In a perfect time, in a perfect place I would start this during the summer months so we don't have to deal with the cold up north and don't have to be to hot down south.

Yeaaaaaa...thats the dream...and some day I'll leave corporate america to live it.

Random Thoughts
from Frito J Marcelin The Third

I don't know how many more disappointments in life I can take. They just hurt so much. You just have expectations but they just seem not to come together. Honestly it hurts my heart. It makes me melancholy.

Another thing that hurts is realizing that one's self is the reason why things don't come together. I am the one to blame for my downfall. There will always be some type of character flaw that I will somehow never be able to overcome.

One of the harshest realities was realizing that I would never be perfect, even when I did do my best, no matter how hard I worked at something I would never fully obtain a sense of having it altogether. I dog on near wanted to stop living when the thought of that hit home.

Learn how to spend "Quality Time"

According to the infamous Wikipedia - Quality Time is defined as follows:

Quality time is an informal reference to time spent with loved ones (e.g., close family, partners or friends) which is in some way important, special, productive or profitable. It is time that is set aside for paying full and undivided attention to the person/matter at hand. It may also refer to time spent performing some favored activity (e.g., a hobby). The opportunity to experience quality time, or the actual time available to enjoy quality time is often limited. However, this is outweighed by the importance, intensity or value attached to events or interactions which occur during quality time. Quality time therefore has a degree of emotional or social "quality" which other aspects of personal life may lack. Busy parents may also use the term to justify the limited amount of overall time they spend with their children.

The bottom line is that men and women define everything differently especially quality time. Therefore what it means to you and communicate that to other person from the get go. Don't allow your relationship to lack fulfillment.

Now you may be surprised but "Wasting Time: The Steve and Frito Show's" "financial adviser Bryant Bilal from episode 9 is an avid skateboarder. He picked it up around his adolescence, took a 10 year hiatus, and then him and our friend Nancy decided to pick it up again at the age of 26. A bit late in my opinion to be picking up a sport where you can drastically break your bones in your late twenties but hey who am I to judge. In honor of them, cause I am a bit jealous that they can skate and I can't, the Shoe of the week is a pair from Etnies, one of the original and premier brands that makes skateboarding shoes:

Saving Money with Steve Nghe

Saving money is like your diet. You won't lose weight unless you eat a healthier diet. Thus, you won't save money unless you actually save money. My suggestion is out of sight, out of mind.

Step 1: Open an internet bank account like ING Direct. Most jobs allow you to direct deposit your pay check into multiple accounts. Decide how much you want to deposit and after a couple of paychecks, you won't even notice that you're saving hundreds of dollars each month.

Step 2: Learn how to STOP spending money and live off one paycheck per month (based on a bi-monthly pay structure). Live off of one paycheck per month???? That's crazy. It's very doable - actually, I have applied that rule since I gotten a full time job. Some might argue, the more money you make - the more likely this is possible. However, stats show that the more money you make - the more you spend. So SHUT UP and direct deposit half of your paycheck to ING.

So let me show you some numbers: say you bring home $1600 a month ($800 a paycheck).
$800 x 12 = $9,600 saved for that year. If you never get a raise and you work for 30 years - your life time savings would be $288,000. That's not bad.

So can you pay rent, groceries, gas, and utilities with $800? Yes, you can!

Frito's Tip on How to Spend Your Money

After having breakfast with my "financial adviser" Bryant Bilal. We thought that buying stock would be the best way to spend money and since money is not in object, at least in this column, we thought to buy as many shares as we wanted in these companies*:

1. Google at $535.07 per share

This was one of Bryant's hot stocks on episode 9. If I spend $77.6 million that will give me about 145,000 shares of stock.

2. Polo Ralph Laure $80.28 per share

If you know me then you know I am an avid polo wearer. The brand symbolizes a lifestlye that reflects a state of wealth that all try to obtain, which is why we in a recession. Any way for around $625,000 I can get a little over 31,000 shares.

3. Nike $64.67 per share

Now sneakers is most defintely my obsession and passion. They are my obsassion (just made that one up), and the number one coke, I mean sneaker supplier for Frito is Nike so of course I buy in the brand I trust. With these guys I'm going all out. I want like 500,000 shares so that's going to cost me around $3.23 million.

$81.46 million is going to get me pieces of Google, Polo, and Nike. I think that is a great day of money well spent.
